Plot twist: The next companion is a normal girl/boy who only dies once in their lifetime and has no remarkable back story but he thinks they’re wonderful because they are human and the Doctor needs reminding that you don’t need to be a mystery to be remarkable.

#and the doctor never has to kiss them or sexualize them at all #in fact they are not even attracted to the doctor

so basically we want Donna back

I can not say this enough. Clara is the BOSS. When her storyline began, she was the ultimate victim. She was constantly dying and she had no control over her destiny (or so we thought). But the series finale has proven just how brave and bad ass Clara Oswald really is. She wasn’t a victim. She was a hero and like the Doctor said in the prequal She Said, He Said…”I know what she will always mean to me.”

Clara Oswald will always be known as the Doctor’s savior. END OF.

I like this way of looking at Clara! I hadn’t thought of it like that! That being said, I still don’t like the idea of her saving him every time and negating everything that the other companions did. Not sure if that’s what was what the intention was, but that’s what it sort of seemed like to me. Which I’m not a fan of. Although I did like the episode, I think!

Yeah, I took it that way too! I’m not okay with retconning the entire history of the show so that Clara secretly saved the day every single time, that just drains the significance out of EVERYTHING that’s happened.
